Artistic Statement
”Art-making is an exploration of an idea that intrigues me. Finding the right materials and tools through trial and error to bring that idea into existence. I found reed to be the material best suited to creating twisting organic forms with texture and transparency. Not only has the material achieved the forms I imagined, it has inspired me to expand on the original idea. My goal is to create a "pause" for the viewer to contemplate a new experience, to evoke a personal connection, and to delight with color, texture and form.”
