Not necessarily, you can just show your confirmation email on your mobile device to the gate attendant upon entry.

Can I register for tickets at the door?
We encourage festival attendees to register for tickets in advance because showtimes will sell out.

If I reserve my ticket for one showtime, can I stay for more than one showing?
Yes, your ticket guarantees entry into the festival, and you may stay to enjoy artists’ installations, exhibits, food, and the beer garden.

How long is the video projection mapping showcase?
The showcase is approximately 30 minutes long, with four showings a night.

Is there seating?
No, there will not be seating available.

Are dogs allowed to accompany me to BOREALIS, A Festival of Light?
BOREALIS is a festival taking place in the evening with high volume of festival goers. Due to light displays and effects, music and visual art displays, we strongly discourage bringing your pet to the festival, unless they are a service animal.

Is the beer garden open to all ages?
No, attendees must present a valid ID to be admitted into the beer garden. 21+ to enter.

Is this a cash only event?
There will be food trucks and a beer and wine garden. Vendors do accept major credit and debit cards, however we encourage you to have cash handy in case a cash only vendor is onsite.

Where is the best place to park?
We highly encourage public transportation and do expect some crowds. There will be some limited, free parking in throughout the South Lake Union neighborhood. See our Getting There page for details!

May I bring a cooler or lawn chairs to the festival?
Due to larger crowds, best to leave these items at home.

Are there restrooms available?
There will be porta-potties available.

Can I photograph the art installations?
Yes. Please hashtag the artist name and add #ComcastBOREALIS and #BorealisSeattle thanks!

What about flash photography?
Please no flash photography during the video mapping show.
